(Alert 2/9/04)
Citizens have called an
emergency town meeting regarding Sen. Buttars’ vicious attack
(SB 175) on Initiative B (passed by 69% of voters in 2000) and
your property rights. Meeting details are as follows:
Date/Time: Feb. 14
(Saturday) at 10:15 AM
Location: West Jordan
Library at 1970 W. 7800 South
Invited: Citizens,
voters, and parents of Utah!
Agenda: To be announced.
RSVP: To reserve a seat
and free information packet, e-mail
info@accountabilityutah.org.
TAKE
ACTION! Print out a
flier
regarding SB 175 and this meeting (in .pdf format) and
share it with your friends and neighbors. Let them know
that their rights are on the line and that they need to make
their voices heard once again. Feel free to share
additional copies the flier in Sen. Buttars area.
Don’t allow our communities
to be harmed by perverse incentives that will reward police
agencies for seizing the property of innocent citizens.
For more information, see Mr. Arnold Gaunt's
alert on this
bill.
Note on Sponsor: Despite
repeated citizen contact, Sen. Buttars has refused to withdraw
his dangerous bill, and has been callous toward the legitimate
concerns and fears of numerous citizens.
